Longfellow

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807 – 1882)

Primarily a lyric poet, Longfellow’s most popular works retell American stories and legends, notably Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie” (1847), The Song of Hiawatha (1855) and Paul Revere's Ride (1863). 

Tennyson

Lord Alfred Tennyson (1809 – 1892)

Poet Laureate of Great Britain and Ireland during much of Queen Victoria's reign, Tennyson best-known works include The Lady of Shalott (1832), Ulysses (1842), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1854) and Enoch Arden (1864). 

Browning

Robert Browning (1812 –1889) and/or Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806 – 1861)

Robert Browning’s dramatic monologues, notably Of Men and Women (1855) and The Ring and the Book (1867), made him one of the foremost Victorian poets. In 1846, he was secretly married to poet Elizabeth Barrett.

Widely popular during her lifetime, she is best known for Sonnets from the Portuguese (1850) and Aurora Leigh (1857).
