An image of the adults section of the Weston Library, circa 1980. Non-fiction books can be seen on the right hand side of the image. Signs for English literature, travel and geography can be seen above shelving units on the upper right hand portion of the image. Novels appear to be located along the back wall, based on the presence of "Fiction E-G" and "Fiction G-K" signs posted on the wall. Note also that the library's enchanting stained glass windows are opened to allow circulation of air in the building.

<p>This is yet another image of the library taken from the original entrance. In contrast to the images seen <a href="http://westonhistory.omeka.net/admin/items/show/70">here</a>, this image shows the staircase leading up into the adult section and the staircase leading down to the children's section, then known as the Boys and Girl's department.</p>
<p>Display boards advertising library happenings can also be seen. There is a "No Smoking" sign visible, as is a sign that affirms that donations of paperback books are accepted at the library. The bulletin board advertises library services, including photocopying and 16mm film rentals.</p>
<p>A science fiction book display is visible in the picture, as is a small display of geography books, seen in the top left hand corner of the image.</p>

View from outside the old Entrance of the Weston Library
These images are taken from the staircase inside the old entrance of the Weston library. The images were taken circa 1980, prior to the construction of the new addition. Note that the doors to the library are glass, as opposed to the wood doors that are now at the location of the old entrance. Currently, these doors are not in use.

Boys and girls department (circa 1980)
This photograph is yet another depiction of the Children's Room of the Weston Library, prior to the construction of the addition to the building. A staff member can be seen helping a customer with the card catalogue. Benches and tables for sitting in reading are apparent in this image, as are book displays and shelves lined with books. A countries display is set up atop the shelves along the walls.

This image of the Children's room shows the vastness of the collection of children's books. Picture books line the walls, decorative items are hung from the ceiling and book displays adorning the tops of bookshelves can be seen in the image. In the bottom left hand corner of the photograph, there is a typewriter.

This image is another view of the children's room of the Weston Library, prior to the construction of the addition. In the photograph, a staff member can be seen assisting a child search through what appears to be a card catalogue. A "Happy Birthday Canada" banner, along with the child's choice of clothing suggest that this picture was taken in the summer months.
