The Upper Canada Gazette or American Oracle was the official newspaper of the government of Upper Canada.

Initially published in Niagara, it was relocated to Toronto (then York) when the seat of government was transferred.

On October 4, 1798, it became the first newspaper published in Toronto. The Gazette remained the only newspaper in the city for two decades.
