This view from the east side of Yonge Street, just south of Shuter Street shows a wide berth for the brave bike rider. If you look closely, you will see in the background that our lone cyclist is sharing the road with a horse-drawn cart.

Looking north to St. Clair, reveals, by evidence of the streetcar tracks that the Yonge subway is still a year away. The building on the east side of Yonge in the background is the 'Northgate Hotel' formerly the Rosedale hotel.
