Z is for zero gravity

Zero gravity plays a central role in the stories and imagery of science fiction from the mid-twentieth century onward.

As tales of space travel became popular, descriptions of intergalactic travelers and astronauts floating in outer space emphasized the alien environment outside the influence of Earth’s gravity.
