The firm, founded in 1935 by Lawrence Perkins and Philip Will, Jr. was based in Chicago, Illinois, but it was the White Plains office, established in 1951, that participated in the Toronto City Hall Competition.
Today, Perkins+Will continues as an interdisciplinary research-based architecture and design firm with offices around the world, including in Toronto.
